A consumer preference, soft and chewable nugget ice is versatile and slow-melting, cooling drinks rapidly without wasteful foaming and keeping them cool longer, while maintaining their flavor. With this air-cooled countertop ice maker, both nugget ice and water are available quickly and easily. Nugget ice consists of hard, cylindrical, randomly-sized bits of ice that are actually compacted flake ice. These hard bits of ice remain free-flowing at all times, and make iced displays look crisper and stay fresh longer. An excellent choice for small cafes, break rooms, teacher lounges, medical facilities, and many other applications. Specifically designed to meet the requirements of health care facilities, the TouchFree dispensing system is a favorite for health care, food service, and in the laboratory. Rather than levers or buttons, sensors determine when to dispense water or ice, minimizing the possibility of cross-contamination. This one-hand TouchFree operation complies with the most stringent requirements of the National Sanitation Foundation and the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act. This machine features a sleek European design with an all stainless steel finish, attractive rounded corners and informative instruction labels, perfect for any beverage service environment. Up to 25% less fan noise than previous models allows installation in the quietest hallways. Improved dispensing with easier access and room for most containers. Bin can hold enough ice to serve 75 persons in line at one time, and with its quick recovery can maintain a high number of vends all day. <br /><br />8-3/4" cup clearance from drip tray to dispensers. Produces 523 lbs. of ice per 24 hour cycle at 70°F air and 50°F water, or 409 lbs. of ice per 24 hour cycle at 90°F air and 70°F water. Produces 22 lbs. of ice per hour based on ideal indoor operating conditions of 70°F air and 50°F water.
